I was so in love with a 43 year old man who came into my life a year ago this month.
Im perplexed because he said he loved me was supportive of me and just left me.
Im devastated i dont eat i cry and all i do is think of him.
Im 31.
For the first time i cannot comprehend what is happening to me.
I know he did nt leave me for another woman, im just so heartbroken and im pretty good at getting over things but this is a big set back in my life.
i cannot even breath .

He left you because he knows that you are at different stages in life and want different things (he may not want to have any/more children). Relationships with such an age gap are difficult and often destructive.
I don't mean to be mean, but it seems like you might have some personal growth and healing to go through before you can enter a mature relationship. Everyone goes through a major heartbreak before they can have an interdependent (rather than a co-dependent) relationship. You might have been too needy and need to "find yourself" something most people in their 40s have already done (remember you're just out of your 20s).
I can definitely relate to you, as I had a very similar experience engaged to a slightly older woman. I was devestated and cried every day for 6 months (yes, guys cry too). Looking back, this was the best thing that could've happened. After 3 years I met my real "soulmate" (didn't even believe in it anymore after the big break-up) and have been happily together for 7 years.
This too shall pass. You will be happy again!!!

Oh stop, all this over a guy? Come on you can stay strong! You can love again! Was this guy really worth you not breathing? Or even eating for that matter? So let us see here, you are going to let some guy with a heartbreaker quality crush you like a bug underneath his foot? Don't tell me, he was the love of your life and you really thought he loved you. Listen I know you can get through this I know you can! Don't let some overly confident man see that he has crushed you, go through life and find yourself another man who will not do such a horrible thing! You can do it! I believe you can!!!
I know this is harsh but come on! You can do it!!! Don't feed him your heart, take it back and go look for another man!

Im so sorry for your misfortune. Im the same age as you and i know how it feels.
Try to keep busy even if you dont want to. It wont be easy, but in time you will feel better. Im not saying that you will forget him and you wont feel nothing for him, but you will be able to move on with your life.
