Over time. Not instant.

I think it happened in one second but took me a period of time to realize it. I saw the guy once, and knew I was in "deep like", saw him a year later, but didn't bother calling him till 4 months had passed. Soon after I started to feel that giddy "school girl love", but didn't realize I was IN LOVE for several months.

Personally, "in love" is merely chemical. (Real love... people never fall out of.) That genuine love and caring tends to grow with time.

It took maybe 3 days. Friends for 3 days, but I count that as more like a 'second'.

My partner says he fell in love with me the minute i spoke to him.
You can fall in lust with someone in a second but love true love that is takes time.
I fell in lust with my partner on first date but after dating him for many weeksand getting to know him. Then one day of saying goodnight to him as he dropped me off I loved him and feel that love deeper everyday we are together ( yesterday was our one year anniversary of being together).

I might realize that I might love her or shes cute.
But I will truely realize after I know about her or talked with her or being with her that I love her.
Takes some time.

Realized in one second. :) And, contrary to popular belief, it wasn't necessarily a good feeling-- it was actually very scary.
