atheist section (atheist). If you are a Christian, then convince your buddies to stay out of the gay and lesbian section, they are there condemning people to hell EVERY DAY.

I have a mixed spiritual belief system, but I am "mostly" Pagan. I would probably hang out in the Atheist and Christian sections, because both groups are so much like each other that they are destined to come into each other's sections and argue. This will then provide some much needed entertainment for the Pagans and Agnostics on this site. By the way, when I say they are so much alike, I mean that both groups are generally into the "black and white" way of seeing things and are pretty much blind to the shades of gray that Agnostics and Pagans can easily see. If a person thinks their way of thinking is the only RIGHT way of thinking then everybody else must be WRONG, therefore there can be no in between. That's why they(Christians and Atheists) are such a giggle to watch, because so many of them just don't know how to play nice with others!

Both, as Atheists seem to want to ask Christians so many questions and vice versa. Thus I believe that everyone would be in all faith and non-faith based sections as well. It is clearly not going to happen though, we all have too much fun together to simply stay with people of likemindedness. God gave us all human natures, and inquisitivness is in all of us.
I honestly don't want to label anyone anymore, I just want to call them my fellowman and consider them like me ... just trying to get by with what we know and learning about everything else too. We are no better than any other person here, no matter how hard we try to believe it. That is a falsehood and a GREAT misconception. I am sure some people are deluded that they are better than others because they want to think they are, but in reality we were all made of the same clay.
I have made friends of some Atheists, Muslims, and other people here and would not trade that to be only friends with followers of God. And if you are a Christian you should want the same.
I believe that the only way we can show ANYONE God or that He is real is to LIVE what we PREACH & TEACH. And I for one am doing that more day by day, as it is a neverending thing to do. We all have to work on ourselves, before trying to help others. I also believe that those who believe different than I, are only trying to do the same in one way or another. At least the people I have made friends with. We may not agree on our faith or lack thereof, but we know we are all flesh and bones, and underneath we are ALL the SAME.

Yahoo already has this - it is called R&S.
Every person here chose to ask or answer a question looking for a connection to another person.
As a Roman Catholic, I answer all questions I feel I can be of any value to the asker. I come here for the insulting questions that make people think, and the nasty ones that get the words flying and the keyboards clicking away so hard and fast I bet I can hear them if were younger.
I rarely can help anyone, as I have no formal education in R&S, except as a sinner, so I just try and help as much as I can.
Insulting RC can not influence me, or hurt my soul, but if I'm insulted please be funny, nothing worse than being bored by someone.
Also, you missed the other 15 or 20 thousand religions humans have on this planet. That's why yahoo calls this R&S, everyone is right untill we die and find out who is wrong (or visa versa - whichever you want).

I'm an Atheist. Your question is like asking if there was "liberal" section and a "conservative" section where would you go ? There would necessarily be crossover. The reason being is that you only know what something is, by distinguishing it from what it is not. Many Christians feel an obligation to convert people to Christianity, and many Atheists feel an obligation to let the world know God doesn't actually exist.
So one side would be on the other side trying to convert them to their beliefs. You know it's the truth. Your beliefs can't operate in a vacuum. That would cause harm not only to society as a whole, but to each individual that believes the way they do.

I liked your note at the end. People love to go where they are not invited. I am an atheist, I lack a basic belief in the existence of a supernatural being some call god. Technically, I guess I'm supposed to hang out with other atheists, but then, who do I debate/argue with? So I guess I'd hang out in the xian section, but would they be there, or would they be hanging out in the atheist section trying to convert them?
Having different sections wouldn't keep us from straying.

Weeelll, I've read the other posts. I'm Christian. I don't think I want to be constrained by either or segregated. I think it's challenging to defend the faith but the malicious mockers are not intelligent whatsoever but they too have souls. I might get torn to pieces in a real church to be so outspoken in my beliefs or to ask the questions I ask here to learn from others would be considered gendering strife. Definitely I go wherever there's a question I want to learn the answer to, I know the answer to, or want to see what others think before I decide. You can't make lanes for everyone in real life so why would you here? When I go to town I meet with all kinds of people and interact. It's called life. I think Atheists aren't nearly as hard-hearted as some other beleifs or lack of! I believe there's tender hearts looking for truth in all walks of life and I pray those will be put into the paths of true Christians. It is truly interesting though to learn all the arguing points and tactics of the anti-Christ spirit and to discern spirits. I don't think Atheists can offer me much advice on life in general but Christians can give advice, hold one another accountable, share ideas of what scriptures mean and encourage one another. I don't think "invitations" are required because people fit into too many different categories in life besides their religious beliefs. I can identify with the witch who asked if it was right to want revenge on an abusive husband because I lived through abuse. So, I kill two birds with one stone and witness the love of Christ to her and what He's done for me and is continuing to do in that area of life. I say leave the sections like the shopping mall of ideas it is but shut down the verbal porn and naked avatars.

I'm agnostic, but I lean more towards atheism.
I think separating the two sections would take all the interest and fun out of either. The never-ending but always interesting and entertaining debate between sides is what makes this section worth visiting. If they were separate, the Christian section would basically just be a bunch of scripture quoting and repetitive dogma, and the Atheism section would be very empty indeed, since their most interesting argument are in reaction to that aforementioned scripture quoting and dogma. Ideas must clash in order to make a spark of truth

As a Christian I would hang out with the Christians and I would like to learn more about the Word of God, but I am discouraged from asking questions because most of the time its just a lot of debating and not the kind of really serious answers that I am hoping for.

I am a Catholic.
I would go to the Christian Section, but I wouldn't mind answering questions from atheists and other believers as long as the questions are not malicious and silly. If the asker is really sincere about getting information he can be civil about it. There is no need to insult, ridicule, berate, etc. other people just because they do not agree with you.
Have a grace filled day

All. I like to get an understanding of other religions or lack there of as a Christian. I think it's necessary to grow within ourselves to understand others for what they believe. And if we can't understand at least hear them out in a civil way. Just to be clear, I am Christian Baptist ... but not so much of a conservative as my church is.
-Satan, please note that not ALL Christians bad mouth other religions. I personally hate that stereo type that is placed on me because of the heading my personal beliefs fall under.
