He was too busy serving as an example of what we could all be. That was his mission, you know.

Who said He didn't? From the scriptures, we know He was not a moron. He read scriptures in the temple and wrote in the sand. For, whatever reason, his writings have not been kept or discovered.
It's just like the missing books of the Bible. The Bible mentions books, but where are they? And, how about the Apostles' writings? There was twelve apostles, yet, we hear from only a few (mainly Peter, Paul, John). We have not discovered all the books yet. They will come forth in "there own time and season."

It has to do with the oral tradition. The oral word was much more valued than the written word. When the disciples and witnesses of Christ began to suddenly die off due to the massive killing that the Romans did, there began a need to write down the oral accounts of witnesses. That is why we see the gospel writers such as Matthew, Mark, Luke and John writing about 60 years after Jesus died. Paul's letters were important because of the teaching that he gave in those letters. Jesus' words were passed on for many years mouth to mouth. That is how stories were passed on for many years. Writing came much later.

HI Sky,
I believe that if HE wrote anything it would sound too much like HE was talking about HIMSELF and that might not be what we needed. HIS APOSTLES certainly wrote enough about HIM that we can study it for many years without running out of material. They were quite clear about HIS actions and speaking engagements.
Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
HEAR - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
BELIEVE - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
REPENT - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
CONFESS CHRIST - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
BE BAPTIZED - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

He did not come to Write a book, but to save the World. He did all that is needed to Save the World. Is writing so important and difficult than Saving the World.

I think that along with writing that some were done orally. Passed down from generation to generation. And it would be common as writing, since most of the people back then would be illiterate. (Meaning the poor. Even some of his disciples were illiterate. Not all of them wrote.)
Hey you already mentioned the writing in the sand.

Actually Jesus did write something in the sand for viewing by the Scribes and Pharisees question. They then turned away in disgust.

He was very busy. He gave His Disciples the message that God wanted to get it across to the people in order for everyone to trust in Him to believe & ye shall be saved. He lived it, He preached it. Just as it were then, as it is now, Jesus still uses Prophets, Ministries, and all men of God to teach & preach the way to Salvation. Satan is not going to teach it!

Remember the writing in the sand? Christ knew we would distort anything he left behind. He wanted us to focus on his words, his teachings about his father, our Father, which I am sad to report, we have not. Can you imagine Christ writing a book on the realities of space and time? During his days on Earth the world was flat, they would have burned anything he wrote anyhow.

My personal opinion is that Jesus never intended to be martyred, he really believed that he would be the king of the Jews and end up dying of old age. Most people who live a life of politics leave their young life for all the "doing" and leave writing their memoirs and words of wisdom for when they are older and have time for it. Unfortunately things didn't exactly pan out that way for Jesus, and his followers had to figure out a way to explain why; hence the whole "Jesus PLANNED to be executed to....um.....save us from our sins, yeah that's right". It's really kind of sad that he didn't realize how much he was going to piss people off, so he could just get the writing part over first and leave the "making people mad" part for later. Oh well, you can't win them all.

You need to keep in mind that back in that time in history there were a lot of people that couldn't read or write. It could very easily be that Jesus never learned to write!
