Of course you have a right to your standards and if anyone gives you creepy or bad vibes you can always smile and walk away. I think that gets the message across that you don't want to hang with them but you're not being obnoxious about it.

If a person is doing something void of love you should deal with the behavior towards you by communicating and not allow guilt to enter in. However, keep in mind that love also can mean someone could be trying to communicate to you as well and might be doing so out of love and can because they are not guilt ridden.
I'm sure that wary and worry are two words that are very close in definition and you know what that equals....stress. Avoidance can cause some serious problems within and it's just not worth it to have to pay two doctors because you've worked yourself sick instead of dealing with relationship issues.

We all should be wary of the people we keep company with. You have the right to have standards. You can be picky and still be nice. You can nicely stay away from people you do not want to be with.

Society, community, friends and even couples are tools of the people that allows us to compete with each other (not against) in the broad aspect of what the world is and what your place within it is.
Everyone has a right to their own sense of aesthetics as to who they want to be with and who they are attracted to. However, this sense of aesthetics should not be confused with the manner in which we judge the character and the true worth of another person. To do that is to willingly journey down the road to bigotry and irrational hate.

Yes you do have a right to have standards. Your friends, especially the closest ones, are the ones who will influence your life. And you definitely want to surround yourself with positive friends. Not to say you should totally shun the not-so-great ones, but just keep a safe distant and just draw close to the good ones.

Evey one in their live gets to a point where they decide what class they want to be in. Working class, White color, Middle class, Ghotto. Things like that.
Yes, you have a right to have standards and when there are people around you that you feel are not up to those standards then yes again you have a right to not have them in your life.

by all means, if you lie with dogs you will get fleas. If you choose great people to be with , people who really care about you and your welfare, that is the kind people you make long term friendships with. I guess you have heard the old saying, misery loves company, and some people just want to bring you down with them. Latch onto the coattails of people that know where they are going , be around positive, creative , caring and courageous people. you will go far and be happier and kick the ones to the curb that want to bring you down.

Actually you really answered your own question. Always be careful who you may keep company with. If the apple is bad, then normally it is.99.9%. I would not allow anyone in my home unless I knew them very well. And remember if you ride in someone else's vehicle and they have pot or any other illegal drug, you will be charged as well. If you are in your vehicle and you are driving then perhaps your vehicle can be
confiscated never to return.

Well people are often judged by who their friends are.
Standards are always a good thing to have. I think those people that treat everyone like they are their best friend are really fake and superficial. Friendship is something that is earned, since a friend is someone you can trust.

Of course you have the right to have standards. And you should have standards. And you should be "on guard" just for your own sake. It's okay. Just don't shut people out, either.
