On One life to live yes :p

It is definitely possible to fall in love with alters. Its like falling for two different people, it happens all the time.

I would have to say yes. I actually have a friend that's a multiple and the only reason he's still with his wife is because one of his alters is still in love with her. It's interesting because alters are their own person in a way, with their own unique personality.

I think the better question would be, what on earth do you do if you fall in love with someone's alter??

An alter is an incomplete personality so you'd only be infatuated with part of a person.

If this is your situation, just let it go. Walk away. Now.
Being in love with someone who develops this problem and falling for someone with the problem are two different things. They may just get crazier and are not the person you love all the time anyway.

Walk away.

P.S. Your friend needs to get help.
