Thousands of flu vaccinations are discarded every year. Would it make sense for these to be offered to prison inmates? Wouldn't that reduce the medical cost prisons spend on inmates that do get the flu, and reduce some of the suffering for those existing in horrible, overcrowded prison conditions?

Would that also increase demand so that more companies are willing to make the serum thus preventing shortages like those we experienced last year when one of the few labs making the vaccine became contaminated?

They're lucky to get aspirin if they need it most inmates are ignored when it comes to their health. I've heard of people needing serious Med. help and not getting anything but yelled at. But I do think it would help them. As far as saving us money I don't think we're getting charged properly anyway. Cure is already here for the common cold but the people w/the remedy own cold medicine companies and won't release the info.

If you are saying that thousands of flu shots are discarded, why not give them free to old people and the poor
Let the prisoners die (actually, How would they get the flu locked away from the outside)

there is no public determination, so there basically isn't authorities funded clinical care. It did not MAKE IT INTO THE bill. in spite of the undeniable fact that, the mandate for human beings to have coverage will keep human beings from jacking up huge clinical charges that then get surpassed onto well being care clients and tax payers. yet there truly isn't any "Obamacare" that element of the bill change into defeated. If the Republicans allowed the commonplace public determination to pass into the bill, there might want to were decrease charges because the own organizations might want to ought to compete. you already know, because competition drives down expenses see you later as there is no longer value fixing. it really is Ironic that the single element that could want to have truly saved individuals money change into eradicated by potential of the Republicans. by potential of ways, did your well being care replace? did not imagine so...
