Our main wedding color is purple. We don't want to overwhelm our guests by putting it into every single element, so we are trying to use it in smaller accent quantities.

What candies are either purple or wrapped in purple packaging? I thought we could use them as favors or incorporate them into the place setting somehow. I'd like them to be small (so a long Nerds rope won't work) so I can wrap them up in little packages. I'm looking for both grape flavored and non grape flavored to give guests a variety.

Ideally, I only want to spend a few dollars per person since it's not really necessary, but I think would be a cute, subtly purple touch.

These ideas are all wonderful so far. My wedding isn't until October but I'm the kind of person that gets an idea and tries to make it work right away, then I don't have to worry about it when I get down to the last few weeks. I can say "oh I need to purchase x amount of this and this," instead of being like "I have a week to figure something out - help!"

I think the Dove chocolate brand has packages of small, individually wrapped dark chocolates with a purple wrapper. Sweet, elegant, and purple!

I went to a wedding last year where the bride and groom had made those butter mint things (like served at fancy restaurants after the meal) in their colors. I think they went to a local candy shop and did it there. Something to look into that would be even more personal as it is made by you!

You've already gotten some great answers. The only other thing I can think of would be #1, purple jelly beans, and #2, go to a cake decorating store. They can tell you how to make some colored candy, or maybe make lollipops out of chocolate (you could use both white and dark chocolate) with a purple flower on them. Tie a thin, purple ribbon around the stick. You could even incorporate that into your centerpiece. Good luck.

Grape jello made in small molds would be cute. Jolly Ranchers come in a purple color. Maybe you could create something with the grape flavored candy canes. They come in solid purple and and white with purple stripes. Good luck

My colors are purple and ivory. Have been havin' issues w/purple coatings leaving dye marks when a little warm. I've decided to do white tic-tacs and printing a label w/ a cute saying in purple ink. (I don't want the guests to have to worry that their teeth or lips are tinted. Plus they can shake the tic tac boxes istead of ringing a bell or tapping a glass to get us to kiss. (many birds 1 stone) you can buy them in bulk from sams club

i know you can get m&m's online in any color and with sayings, but that could get pricey--i think that dark chocolate kisses come in a dark purple color

i used purple and silver for my wedding
if your just looking for purple stuff, i had purple and silver gems/rocks in hurricane holders around a candle on the tables
i also went to hobby lobby/michael's and got a big paper punch of a heart and bought heavy paper in shades of purple and had hearts on the tables, like confetti but the hearts were about 1.5 inches

if you can wait a month or 2- easter candies come in purple wrappers- you can get any brand of candies (pretty much) in purples and lavenders.
also there are jelly bellys
and you could make little chocolates yourself.
buy white chocolates then dye them.
- even dip things like strawberries, cheesecake nibbles and cookies in the tinted chocolate
