It's explained really well (and sited) here:
http://www.cannabisculture.com/backissues/cc11/christ.html

but to summerize, the annoinment oil recipe that God commanded Moses to make, and which was passed on and even used to annoint Jesus during his baptism (baptisms were 2 parts back then-annointing and water). The reference is Kaneh-Bosm, which is starting to be accepted by advanced biblical scholars to mean Cannabis (a big crop in that area that we know from history was used amoung Jews in that area), not Fragrent Cane, as it was seemingly mistranslated as.

Basically, there is good evidence for it, and I'm sure evidence against it. However, unless you attend Rabbidical school and become extremely familier with the ancient ways of the Jews and their extensive history, you don't seem to be qualified to mock people who are much more educated than yourself on the subject.

What do you guys think of the article? Seriously.

No, we do not know if he actually smoked it. It's likely he used it as an insense, which would give the same effect. And the annointment oil is absorbed through the skin. So the point is, the dude got stoned.

It has been well know for centuries that the culture of the middle east at that time used cannabis in cooking. Cannabis has been used since the dawn of time for cooking. It was also used as a herbal medicine.

So what is the problem?

Is this question directed towards me? My name is Meggie R, not MaggieR. I will read the article and let you know; thanks for going to the trouble to find it. It wasn't my intention to mock anyone; also, I highly doubt that the person who asked that question was more educated than myself. I'm digressing though; I'll read the article. Thanks!

This part is an addition to my above message:

I read the article, and it didn't mention anything about Jesus smoking pot. It talked about the medicinal uses of Cannabis, and then went on and on about things that had nothing to do with Jesus smoking anything. In my response to that question about Jesus allegedly smoking pot, I challenged anyone to show me the verse in the Bible where it says that Jesus smoked pot. This article gives no such evidence. Thanks anyways.

Um, I honestly how to answer that except that it does mention in the bible (Genesis) that man was allowed to eat the herbs of the earth. And I had a thought maybe that they might have also used it for incense back in OT times? (I'll read the article later on...)
