The first three are the main players in bringing gnosis to man and freeing him from his enslavement to Yaldaboath (Jehovah), according to Gnostic thought. I am not sure about Moon though.

In the jewish mysticism, you are not allowed to touch or have sex with either of them in certain time of the month - when a woman has her period plus ten days, a husband is not allowed to touch her, let alone have sex with her. The tree of knowledge, you are not allowed to touch all month apart from rosh chodesh, the head of the month. The serpent, you can't touch or have sex with (!!!!!) between the 15th and the 20th of the month and as for the moon, it represents a male sexuality, and when its out and visible, you are not allowed to masturbate.

They are all related to the menstral cycle.
The serpent told Eve to eat from the tree. Because she did, god cursed her (and her descendants) with painful childbirth...Genesis 3:16 - To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children... The menstral cycle is (roughly) a month long, and months were originally calculated by cycles of the moon.
