my computer sometimes runs very slow and this seems to be the process running at the time

Yes that is a windows networking system file without that you won't get on the net... try doing a system clean up, and a defrag

yes i have seen this problem...are u using windows 2000..it a virus or worm that maybe this kind of symptoms...
run a virus scan & update ur system with the latest service pack
