Shipa Shetty's entry into the Big Brother show had created great hopes for her. And the treatment at the Big Brother's house had raised alram of racial attitude of Westerners. And her win has created a mixed feelings. And it was evident that she was treated in a undignified way because of her colour and Asian origin. And I appriciate her for speaking out it openly and making the issue known to the public. But if she were to be sincere she should had opted for a walk out from the show in protest aginst it. How can she? She had recieved a Big Amount of payment! Others may say that she was courageous enough to face it and challenge them. And at the end of the show she won! Was it not just a kind of compensation to cover up the harm? Is it not the show is only for maney without any moral vales? Did not Shilp forego her dignity for money! She had gone there with an elagent Indian dress and while returning she may come back with the western minimum dress on. Does she love money or India?

she has made india proud!!!!
walking out of the show and then protesting is like accepting defeat and then, due to others' push, showing courage and rebelling.quitting from the show is like running away in fear even if she protests later.

what if it is a compensation??after all she faced the 'racism'...the britons realized the mistake and voted for her due to guilt for what a fellow citizen was responsible.

well, for the money part, she didnt go there for money but for making it big...she might get more opportunities for acting as bollywood is something that focusses mainly on young newcomers.
(by this i dont intend to harm anyone's feelings.)

I feel that Shilpa Shetty has put India on the map after her win on Big Brother. But, in no way has she made me feel more proud of being an indian. As an Indian being born and raised in the West I find her attitude wrong. Basically, there was bullying and some racism towards her in the house, she even said to Cleo that she felt that it was the case. Then she comes out the house and deines it. Talk about raising the hopes of every asian in the UK, we thought that this issue has opened a can of worms and it can be dealt with as an issue for all asians abroad - but I guess that is not the case! It was to up her career! I have been in the UK all my life and I've lived with racism like every other asian in this country, what I saw on TV was a slice of it, us asians abroad live with it everyday of our lives. Overall, it comes across that she did it for the money!

It was an entertainment show and had no impact on any sphere for longer time. So, this type of achievement cannot make any country or nation "proud".
