If you have your refund sent directly to your bank account you should see it in 7 - 14 days according to the IRS. I've had refunds in as little as 4 days with Direct Deposit.

You might be able to get a "refund anticipation loan" from any of the storefront tax prep mills like Block or Hewitt. However you should resist the temptation. They charge very high fees for this service, equivalent to an APR of 2,600%. (Many loan sharks don't charge that much interest!) Compared to Direct Deposit it may only speed up your refund by a very few days, often less than a week. If you are about to be evicted from your home in the next day or two and need the money to stop that it might be worth it. Otherwise, save yourself some big $$$ and wait the extra few days.

If you have your refund direct deposited into your bank account, it should be there from the IRS on February 16 with no extra charges.

If you accept their "instant refund", know that it's really a short term load, with high fees and interest, so you'd end up giving them a lot of money from your refund in addition to their normal preparation fees. It's not at all a good deal.
