OK. The latest word is that these delays are related to the extender deductions that were approved late by Congress. A number of people have mentioned this on Yahoo!. I confirmed it with the IRS and several tax professionals today. From what I'm hearing, we should all receive our refunds within 8 - 15 days from 2/3. With the IRS refund schedule we should all receive it on 2/16. Here is the IRS bulletin about the delays.

Ok mine was delayed also... Its not only people who filed EIC ... it could have been a school credit... educators credit or... state sales tax credit.. This is an IRS and congress glitch... My taxes were done on Tax cut... as always.. never had any issues or problems in past getting my refund.. it was accepted.. i went to the IRS website.. checked my refund status.. and it said it was directed deposited on 1/26 and to check with bank if it wasnt there... i called the bank no issues there... called IRS .. said sorry for inconvience.. and should be there any time.. no reasons for holds or anything.;... next thing i know.. i check the IRS website again.. and it said .. refund delayed and gave a ref...1211... and to contact them.. I did they said.. my refund was stopped for review along with 70,000 others... and would be there no earlier than 2 weeks unless i recieved a letter in the mail saying it would be delayed further..... I had no idea why... have since read and found out.. about the glitch.. due to congress changing laws .. and getting.. tax breaks on the books too late...any how... income taxes are direct deposited on fridays only.... and here is a site to read about the delay.... good luck....PS ... the irs told me... that it would be no earlier than 2/16 if it said 1/26.... :-??

I got accepted on the 31st and 6 days later i got a DD of today 2/8. The WMR tool is so not 100% accurate. Many people have their refund already and it is still saying processing. More than likely based on others I have seen u will probably get it no later than Tuesday. You can always call an see how helpful the IR is being. Good luck!

I also used Turbo Tax as I have for years and got the accepted notice with a deposit date of 2/2 - now the IRS website is telling me 2/13..??? I don't know why they are holding it and the 13th is odd since I thought they did deposits on Fridays not Tuesdays..??
I had that money earmarked to cover moving expenses and now I am in a real bind without it.

Please let me know if anyone has an update, I am also waiting a refund. I read somewhere that the IRS updates their system on monday between 12am-3am. I checked this morning before leaving for work and it still shows there is a delay in processing my return. I am hoping that they have some information soon

Yes,I did and I also got a deposit date of Jan 26th, and then for a few days it said that it was deposited. It appears that the "delayed" refunds are being stopped at the last minute,...at least that is what I was told.
The 6th is the date that they give for it to clear your account, usually if you get the deposit it is there on Friday....
IF you claimed EIC.....it may be delayed

We did. We got accepted and finished the e-filing process. Turbotax said we should have our refund by the 2nd.. Well the second has came and went! I checked the IRS website at the Where is my Refund? link and now it says by the 6th so who knows!

My direct deposit was also due on01/26. I get very vague answers whennI call the Irs and they also requested that I hold off on calling. I was also told two weeks from01/26 then two weeks from 02/02.

I was told, after contacting the IRS about reference code #1121 that it would be 2 more weeks. HOPEFULLY, on 2/9.
