Well until you learn to concontrol your panic attacks, or learn to float pass or through them, i would sugguest that when you feel that you are having one that you pull over, and wait for it to go. then you get back on the road, you do not want to get so you can not drive, or go anywhere, then you will become house bond and that will just be another problem that you are going to have to deal with.

I suffer from the same problem and have found that the only way to deal with this is to drive around on streets where you can pull to the side of the road sit quietly for a while have a few sips of water and keep saying to yourself I can do this and breathe slowly until such time as you feel you are able to carry on with your journey. If you rely on other people to drive you this is giving into this problem and will make you more reliant on other people and you will never get better. Also go see your local GP and explain to them of the panic attacks you are having and they may prescribe a mild sedative to help you with this. I have suffered with this for many years and at one stage would not go out of the house unless someone was with me and I realised so long as I gave in to this problem I would only get worse so it is conditioning your mind to thinking I can do this and try try try again but do not give in to it. I had the help of a good doctor who understood gave me a mild sedative to be taken shortly before I had to go out and even with this help it was bloody hard but just kept at it and now only suffer slight attacks when I have to go to areas where I did not know the roads but just kept at it and kept maps of the streets in the car if I did get lost. Good luck with this problem and I hope you manage to get the help you need to beat this problem.

Okay, if you have a panic attack, just take a deap gulp of air. let it out slowly. Then just ignore and say, "Someone is waiting for me at home. No one would stay the whole night and months by my bed in the hospital. So just slooooooow down. And probably drive with someone for the first couple of weeks.

DO NOT DRIVE under pressure, while upset, or anything else that may trigger a PA. You will learn, if you haven't already, what triggerss the PA. Everybody needs to drive..don't let that get in tthe way.

I have the same problem. Totally.
I just hit gas, brake, gas, brake, gas, brake. Each time I panic I hit either the gas or the brake. Seems to get me where I"m going although its a rough ride some days.
