There would be more wars, not less. Religion is often used by those who are after power or wealth, granted. But they use religion only as a way of justifying their violence. If that were not available as an excuse, such people simply find another (e.g., Hitler's racism and nationalism).
But religion also serves frequently as a restraint. There are endless examples of the teachings of peace--both Christian and of other religions--being used not to foment war bbut to prevent or end it. For example, in the Middle Ages, under the teachings of religion, wars were restricted in their scope--and often stoped or ended by the church's opposiiton. The
There is a popular myth among those who are too far embedded in the secular nature o f today's world to blame religion for war--and many other things. The historical record doesn't support that view.
To put it another way--religion does not cause wars--people do. And blaming the particular belief system is simply a way of excusing the evil people do.

You would have less wars over religion, but possibly more wars down to simple selfishness and greed as there would be no moral impediments to starting wars. So in the end there would probably be about the same amount of wars. Basically war is caused by human selfishness. And sadly until that is removed, there will be wars.

Wake up douchebag! Wars are fought for money, power, natural resources, population control, and a million other reasons other then religion. Religion is just how the leaders fool the masses into joining their cause.

It would seem easy to pin religion with war, but Money seems to be the main reason behind war. Think about that one first then I'll answer your question honestly.

Religion don't start or end wars, people do. So if you took away the religion, you would still have the people. May God Bless U.

Most cases yes. The Crusades and the Middle East being the only wars that were really for religious reasons. Most are over power, land, and money.

Nowhere neirly as many however i do think there would still be some.
About a 30% drop i guess. i know there are a lot of religious wars, but a lot of them are only using religion as an excuse.

Probably more, I don't know. But:
We, all of us , need to evolve beyond war and see that we are a part of each other.
War is a manifestation of abject egotistical stupidity, on both sides.
Time for us all to grow up.
Yours truly,
Jonnie
PS.. I am intentionally trying to make war look as stupid as it is!!
Your children die ... why? ... Stupidity!

Just because you do something in the name of something doesnt make it so.
Read the Bible for yourself, Jesus did not come to set up a political system, he never even once picked up a sword. He came to change the hearts of people like me and you so that we could change our society---THATS THE BIGGER MIRACLE.
As for those ppl that claimed to kill in the name of CHrist--the simple anshwer is that thier not CHristian. Its the illogical outworking of religion. Not the LOGICAL outworking like atheism.
