much as i hate advising you this way, i must tell you that the easiest way to find a single/divorced/widowed man that lives by normal standards would probably be at church socials.

nobody is complimenting ANY internet dating site. people are really complaining about them. newspapers no longer carry dating ads. there are no lonely hearts clubs. everthing has changed drastically since society in the 1960s-1970s. the internet affords a way for men to spout out hot air because they are cloaked. i've learned from many, many women our age that all too often, they either don't know what they want, want to find a woman to support them (as they drink, gamble, do drugs, etc.), are really married and sneaking around, have left their own children without paying child support and generally have too many skeletons in their closets. the reason why men love women is not for sex in and of itself--it is because a woman has honesty in her heart. men go out into the work world and compete with other men. lies become normal practice, but when it comes to how they treat you, they should be genuine and sincere. yikes! it is so hard to find one. not only that, but if you do meet one online, he has pre-defined visual notions of what you are to LOOK like: like models, like tv moms, like playboy bunnies. yet, they never look down at their love handles or pot bellies! i wonder why they are so shallow.

i hate telling you that you should go to church events, because if you don't go to church (synagogue, whatever) as a rule, it is sort of 'using' the church to meet your ends. however, a lot of churches encourage women and men in our age bracket to come to their socials. maybe they believe it will bring our souls closer to the faith.

whatever method you choose, be sure to be very careful. never meet a man in your home or his: meet in a public place, with your own car. ask a lot of questions. try to get him clear from the beginning. don't sleep with him for a while, not until you have built up at least a fundamental trust. and don't forget how important communication is: if you don't like one another generally, as human beings, how are you going to communicate?

i want you to be happy, good luck!
