Ecc 12:13 The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the [true] God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole [obligation] of man. 14 For the [true] God himself will bring every sort of work into the judgment in relation to every hidden thing, as to whether it is good or bad.

If we assume that no one has told me about any religions, after finding my food, a woman to love, I will go in search for a life with no pain. I will look for reasons for why I undergo physical and mental pain and try to find a way to get out of it. Wonderful feelings end up with sadness and pain always, Ex sex and alcohol. Even the very rich people see their beloved die, they get cancer, what not?.
So I have made it my purpose to find a solution to the pain.
I shall meditate to control my feelings and my pains which I have already experienced a little. I intend to persue further.
If someone or some book tells me that there is a wonderful place deep below inside a well, I will not jump into it. I will not be foolish like any others who are willing to jump inside and kill themselves for some unknown happiness.

There is not any way of knowing. No one on "Yahoo! Answers" will be qualified to answer this question, except with their own opinion.
Having said that, here's my two cents' worth:
Try to enjoy your life. Be a positive influence when you can, it is rewarding even if no one notices.
Don't allow anyone's opinion about what is right or wrong lead you to judge others. Other people are just like you and me: trying to find our way through a confusing world.

Human beings are created to know God. He instilled in us a thirst that will not be satisfied until we reach out to Him for companionship and love. Paul wrote in Philippians 3:8 (NAS), "More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ."
We were created to have an intimate, loving relationship with the Lord? and to bring Him glory. Paying respect with our gifts and good works is a natural extension of that design. But our primary responsibility is to spend time with Him.

Our purpose in life is to Glorify our Maker - to acknowledge His love and wisdom in creating us -- and to share eternity with us.
To avoid one condition that will separate us from Him for ever -which is through disobedience:
It is not accepting His Salvation Plan given through accepting the attonement of our sins through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ which gives us eternal life .
Remembering that eternal death is also eternal where we will regret eternally for our one and only missed chance in our life.

It's up to you to decide. You can even choose multiple purposes, modify their relative importance, and drop them and add new ones later.
Ain't life grand?

To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. As TRUE Christians and Saints of God, learn to grow in His word, His will and His ways to prepare us for our work as Kings, Priests and Teachers. We will rein as joint heirs with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God when He returns to establish His Government on earth for His Millennium (1000 yr) rule.
