I pride myself in being pretty original, and I've been giving my girlfriend gifts for 8 years now. I'm having a little trouble figuring out what to do now. I live in Minnesota. And everything is EXTREMELY cold outside. So going out somewhere is out of the question. I need to get her some THING.

What do you recommend? Remember, it has to be original. Thanks a lot for your help. 10 points to the best answer.

You have been with her for 8 years? Why don't you give her an engagement ring, and make a commitment to her. It's not original, but I'm sure if would be unforgettable for her.

Well, after 8 years I would be expecting an engagement ring. Anyways, a great gift would be to make a picnic basket, spread a blanket on your living room floor, put some nice music on and have a picnic. Maybe surprise her at the end with a nice necklace or something.

It's called a wishkeeper. I honestly haven't found the best website to buy from, but I'll be getting one soon for the girlfriend. It's really an interesting gift, and can be a nice addition to a home. Look it up.

you need something that pleases the woman on a deeper level then material gifts. And it doesen't need to be pricey.

An appointment (paid for of course) to get a massage followed by her hair done etc goes LIGHTYEARS. Followed by dinner and some show tickets are always a winner.

Take her to a musical, or a play or something after having the day to herself in the massage / hair style parlor.

There's a lot of gifts
I don't know what your girlfriend wants but I bet it's special.
Jewelry, games, warm or hot looking clothes, I don't know.
Maybe a playstation 3 or a Wii.
I don't know but ask your girlfriend of what she wants to prove her that your care or love her very much. Hey V day is coming up. So you got lots of time to think about what she wants, ask her what she wants, spend a lot for what she needs, or maybe lots of love would do. At least try to make her happy or smile

Get her tickets for a romantic cruise or vacation booked for this summer. It will be a romantic gesture and something for the both of you to look forward to during these cold winter months! She is lucky to have someone like you thinking about her!

I agree with the others and I'd be getting her an engagement ring. If that doesn't work for you then you can upload some of your favorite photos of each other and other memorable photos to Shutterfly.com and you can create a photo memory book for her complete with captions and all. Good luck!

Could you make her something? I know you r thinking what!!!! But what about design a card on your comp, put a poem on pretty paper, create a web page dedicted to your love for her, or make her a gift basket with her fav goodies, bath soaps, candles, or cookies. OR just order one over the phone. OR make her a romantic surprise candelight dinner, bubble bath, make free coupons up for gifts such as free massage, bubble bath....... let your imagination go.....GOOD LUCK

Depends on what you have at home. If you had a digital camera you could take pictures of her things/her and then put them in a book and write at the top. All of the things I love about you...and then for each picture describe why you love what is in the picture.

Cook her a nice belly warming dinner and maybe an engagement ring to go with it. Put the ring in a rose on top of her plate setting????
