This is a fairly common atheist symbol and if atheism offends the person, this symbol will.

I'm a Christian and I'm not offended by it; it's your avatar, and you can put what you want on it. Obviously it was originated to be a spoof for the "Christian fish", and so it was intended to be an insult to Christians, but who cares really? People are always going to hate and insult other people for many reasons, even beyond religion. What good would it do Christians to dwell on the avatar of a complete stranger? My job as a Christian is to focus on God, not on other people.

Are you trying to offend Christians?

If so, there are probably better options, such as an upside-down crucifix or, heaven forbid, a black Jesus.

If not, you must know Christians do have a monopoly on fish. Every time you eat at Red Lobster or other seafood location, your bill includes a small royalty to the Pope.

You might rec. a response such as "unfortunate". Christians don't judge, and generally have alot of better things to be happy about. Ya see, thats the difference....I wrote happy and not "worried". That included what others might think of this, that, and maybe an avatar perhaps?

I hope offensiveness is not the first criteria you use for selecting an Avatar.

Why would your avatar offend Christians? It is just a symbol. My God is not limited by your avatar and any thing else. He is God. May God Bless U.

Um no, it doesn't offend me. I've seen it before, so I think it's pretty average as avatars go.
