Well ....... you can start lifting weights to increase your strengh , practice makes perfect , you can buy weights that strap to your arm , they sell them at ***** sporting goods or any other sporting retailer , thats what i used , a 40 pound weight on each arm and practice your jabs , that would increase your power and speed , you need to stick to a healthy diet , and drink protein shakes and use stacker 2 , maybe invest in a bowflex , trust me its worth it , don't use any sterroids , they are bad for your health , energy drinks can help too i like MDX or red bull , don't drink coffee , have a friend spar with you so you can work on your response time , that is the most important thing to know about boxing and learn how to take a punch , endurance is the key to a good boxer , try streaching and exercise to inprove your speed , and also exercise your legs , although there is no kicking in boxing your leg movements is very important , and you always gotta be able to trick your oponet the best trick is not to loose eye contact and to throw fake punches to confuse them , the greatest of boxers don't use their fists they use their minds its always better to sike out you opponet , if you need more advice hit me up on yahoo ,

Work on the heavy bag and concentrate in using your full body to throw the punch. Your trainer will guide you. Some people hit hard without any training and some never hit hard no matter how much they train. Just make sure that your form is correct so that you get the most of whatever punching power you have.

Technique!!! Thats the most important thing to learn. Hard punching is a combination of speed and force. I see big strong guys at my club but they dont hit so hard cause their technique is poor mostly. Hard punches are a combo of lower\middle\upper body all working together. Practice good tecnique and the power will come. Of course strength and conditioning training will boost that. Genetics are also part of it. You cant change your size too much, thats why we have wieght divisions. But punching properly will increace your power hugely. As far a speed goes you can improve this with drills and exersizes. Checkout examples of polymetric training (training and conditioning of fast twitch muscles). These will help you. Good luck and dont give up, If you work hard you can always progress!!

Make sure you have proper form first
tape your wrists every time you hit the heavy bag
Use a double end bag for accuracy and speed...speed bags suck
throw every punch as hard as you can on the heavy bag
do push ups
jump rope for 6 rounds a day for stamina
throw your punches through the bag...make your target 4" past target
train religously

Joe Frazier wrote a book on technique. Bruce Lee's "TAO of JEET KUNE DO" really goes into detail on the technical aspects of delivering all kinds of punches. Look into something called "reciprocal motion", the swaying back and forth of your shoulders as you combination punch.
On the physical aspects, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, alot of fast bench press reps at low weight helped me develop power. Maintaining good flexibility in your arms and shoulders is important. Remember this: you punch with your whole body. As much as I despise Tyson, he had some real good torque in his punches by using his hips and knees. When he dropped Buster Douglas, focus on Tyson's body from the waist down.

continue throwing punches like alot, hit in the air and at targets. but when you punch put your whole body in to it, roll your foot and shoulder and snap your wrist at the end, just dont hyperextend anything, keep your muscles tight and bounce while practicing to give you a complete workout. but throw punches over and over again for an hour or more a day and you will get used to the feel and your muscles will get the motion better the more you practice. also try doing some weight training to make your muscles bigger and stronger. dont give up, just keep practicing

the only time u will need 2 punch hard is when hooking or uppercut . plant ur feet firm roll ur body into d punch & follow it through . when u can feel d viberation from d punch in d balls of ur feet u know ur doing it right. speed & jab's are also a good tool 2 frustrate a fighter. never count on a one punch win.

Its a mental thing you have to hype yourself up to be the fastest punch in the world . If you time your punch to be at its fastest just at the point your arm is straightening it will punch hard and true. Practice talk to youself mentally you can do it you are fast go for it .

ooo, this is what i usually do in taekwondo...light up a flame on a candle or something.
then start punching in front of the flame without actually touching the flame. and see if you can blow it out,
now don't cheat by using a lot of unnecessary air, cause then you'll just be cheating your self lol.
yeah...that usually increases speed, and is a sign of "strenght".
Or for strenght, you can simply put a newspaper on a wall, and keep punching it for several times everyday until you notice a difference
