How do you arrive as a permanent resident? I'll tell you. You can't come to this country already a permanent resident.

Any income you earn in the US is taxable. If you are a lawful permanent resident you file the regular tax return that all residents and citizens file.

As a US resident, your world-wide income is subject to US tax.

your 6 months income will be considered as a whole year income......so you may be in a smaller tax bracket and that would be the only exemption
