Most likely not but here's a suggestion don't overdose on drugs.
Hey wait a second you've overdosed on drugs and need to go to the ER but yet you're able to ask questions on yahoo answers?

The police have nothing to do with your drug overdose, their main function at the ER is to get you stable again and hopefully save a life. After that, you can expect a chat with the doctor who might order an assessment but that depends on you and the mental state you are in at the time. If someone offers help then don't reject it until you have heard what the help they can offer is.

if you have overdosed on drugs, for one you need to get off the computer and call 911! Two, i doubt they would call the cops unless there is some sort of violence going on. You should seek therapy.

No they aren't going to call the cops. How are you even typing and you're overdosed on pills? Should'nt you be unconscious?

Ever hear of doctor-patient confidentiality? NO, they won't; now run your butt over or have someone take you to the hospital emergency room NOW. You're waiting what out? Until you pass out and die?

No...they will 'pump' your stomach and treat you like everybody else. Don't 'wait it out'...you could be asking for more damage to your system. Good Luck

As far as I know, gunshot wounds, child abuse, and spousal abuse are the only things I know of that they are mandated to report. I don't know about drugs.
