Your resume.

You should have a detailed list on accomplishments of the many problems for which you have engineered solutions. I have posted a great link for just such a resume, from a self taught engineer.

If you have more education that experience, you must hope that your potential employer has knowledge of/respect for the course of study that you have completed.
