My mother works for Mitsubishi, at one of their factories, and her hands are so twisted and clamped shut that sometimes she has to have her husband pry her fingers open just so that she can turn the key in her car to drive. Drive to work. I don't mean to be rude, but what can I or anybody else say that will make it better for her? Right now, make it so that opening and closing her fist doesn't hurt? How will you or anybody help her right now? She's in pain right now. Who will help her? No one,.

2- get on Worker's Compensation (then later, maybe Disability)

If #2, then see what an Orthopaedic Surgeon says after a consultation. DO NOT go to a regular General Practitioner. See a specialist, such as a Orthopaedic Surgeon. He specializes in bones and can diagnose her properly and quickly.

He can even help her to get on Social Security Disability if necessary. I know how your mother feels, I wish her the best.
