My natural hair color is a golden blonde. The majority of my hair is currently a dark brown, as the dye has faded (Dyed in Setember, hair has grown about an inch since then). I am eager to get my hair back to a blonde. Would this be possible? And, if so, how much damage should I expect? My hair is fine, would it cause breaking? Is there any agent I could use to help remove the dye, so a bleaching would do less damage to it?

Get a hairdresser to gradually lighten the colour back to blonde by doing full or half head of foils/highlights about every 4 weeks until you are happy with the colour.

I had coloured my light brown hair dark brown (almost black) for 3 years and have recently gone back to blonde. My hairdresser did on me what I have mentioned above. It took about 5 full heads of foils and my hair is in great condition.

Okay I have some good news. I did the same thing pretty much, i had blonde hair at the begining of summer and started dying it darker and darker and in like november i dyed it "dark brown" yea it was more of a "purple-black" well it faded big time and ive highlighted it and now my hair is mostly blonde again, so throw some highlights in see how you like it. good luck!!

Go to a professional !! if you try to do it yourself with fine hair it would be more likely to break and get tonz-o-damage!! Make sure who you go to someone who is good and cautious!! Good Luck!!!
