To the person who asked if we had ever seen a chunky boxer...erm, James Toney?

Any extra weight (fat) could result in a lack of stamina. Boxing training is very intese, so if you train hard AND smart (ie. properly!) then you should lose any unwanted bulk, and end up faster and fitter in the process.

Yes you can! You can do anything you put your mind to. Just get a good eating plan together and start working out and if you work hard and believe in yourself, the skies the limit for you! The weight will come off once you start exercising on a regular basis and start eating healthy food like vegatables, fruits, and lean meat and chicken. And drink lots of water and get your proper sleep. You can do it! Don't let anyone tell you that you can't! Good Luck!

i dont think should have to do with any of it. The only thing you might have to work on is upper body strength, and work on moving your feet fast and steady. you need to be fast and steady so you dont lose balence and fast so you can have them lookin at you feet to see were your goin ( most people thats competing agaist you get distracted by that ) so it would give you a more of a chance of winning. Upper body for hits you want to be stroung so when you hit them hard they will lose balance our, the best move i think in boxing is to move feet fast and steady and hit them as much as posiable so they lose blance and sooner or later they will get tired and stop. ( I Hope My Adivse Helped You! )

You are more than young enough to start. If you dedicate yourself to your training, you'll be surprised how quickly you'll find yourself lean and in shape. Its all up to how hard your willing to work and whether you'll stick with the program.
