I think the next guy voted in will end the war....just to get the job.

Then terrorists will regroup, and attacks on US soil will begin again.

Remember! By taking the war to the terrorists soil, America has kept the terrorists off US soil. America's lack of response by Clinton led to 9/11. Does all of America forget that??

I think America will be begging to have someone like George W. back in less than 6 months after the next spineless liberal is voted in.

Democrats can't fight a war, and we will still be at war when the presidential election begins. not to mention that no matter what we think of Bush, we can't just high-tail it out of the middle east and leave it as-is; then the terrorists really would regroup and give us more reason to go back.

"Remember! By taking the war to the terrorists soil, America has kept the terrorists off US soil."

What the f drugs are you on? The terrorist's soil? There were no al-qaueda terrorists in Iraq until we got there? There are now more than 3,000 American military and over 3,000 American civilian dead in Iraq. More than *twice* 9/11. If you think that what is going on in Iraq is worht the loss of *ONE* American life, why don't you put your $ where your mouth is - SIGN UP FOR COMBAT DUTY!

Just because we are at war in Iraq doesn't mean we distracted the enemy from attacking US citizens...we brought hundreds of thousands of new targets to their backyard.

There were only 30 9/11 hikackers. I'm sure al-qaueda Iraq/Afganistan/Iraq/Syria etc can spare 30 "martyrs" and not diminish their efforts in Iraq.

So what there hasn't been an attack the United States soil since 9/11? When were we last attacked before that - the WTC bombing of 1993. Before that? Pearl Harbor, 1941. It's not like the US was prone to attack pre-9/11 and it all of a sudden stopped.

We could have just as easy deployed 100,000 troops and hundreds of billions of dollars in the US and been so much *MORE SECURE*. Even on the off chance we were attacked, it would be far less than 6,000 dead. And soldiers wouldn't be in a foreign country worying about IEDs and ambushes and kidnapping and beheddings.

Whoever is in office is going to have to clean up after Bush's mess. He's left sweeping deficets because he cut taxes while increasing war expenditures. Not exactly sound fiscal policy.

At this point Iraq is a no win scenario. If we leave...we abaondon people we have a security commitment to...and give Iran a powerful vassal state. If we stay...we only postpone the inevitable. And we get caught in the cross hairs.

The terrorists who attacked the US didn't come from Iraq. They weren't funded by Iraq. They weren;t harbored in Iraq. They came from extremists in allied countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Do you think we are fighting terrorists in Iraq? We are fighting really pissed off shi'ites trying to gvet revenge against the ba'ath party.....and we're fighting the remnants of the ba'ath party's military. Did you think every agent of Al Queda secretly entered Iraq to fight us with conventional warfare?

Had Bush done his job...and hunted these people down (instead he capitulated, and normailized relations with, Pakistan...a nation we had labekled as a terrorist state prior to our cooperation with them)...we might be a bit safer. Every country on this planet has suffered terrorism. There are ALWAYS people who will resent you. There are always people who will wish to attack you. You can;t stop them all.

For the record...Republicans in Congress criticized Clinton for spending too much time and money on fighting Al Queda. When Bush Sr. came into office, he did NOTHING to fight Bin Laden. I don't blame Bush or Clinton actually. If you want to blame someone...blame Reagan...he;s the one who created Bin laden with our afghanistan policy. You can never prevent someone from hurting you if they are commited. If you want to limit the attacks...hit these people where it hurts...the wallet....develop alternative energy.

P.S.....you need to get a lot better with your dogma....you're in grade school skippy.

go ahead vote in a liberal--higher taxes--o but only for the rich--hello the rich pay everybody that has a job--no poor people own big or small businesses--like Mrs. Clinton said take the oil companies profits and give them somebody else--o but don't take her 90,000 dollar profit from her 10,000dollar investment she got a couple years ago--vote for the best person not the party--the best of two evils

Call me what you will....bleeding heart liberal will be just fine.....I don't know if the organ is bleeding or not, but according to my last EKG at least I have one. But I guess you and those like you are proud to be heartless conservatives huh?
