Sure you could, though I personally wouldn't recommend it. Studies have shown that within 10 years of having a partial made, a large percent of patients find that the teeth that anchor it end up having decay or periodontal issues and have to also be extracted. Then you end up having to add teeth to the partial or get a new one.

I am a big fan of implants. They are usually quick and fairly easy to place, never decay or get periodontal disease, and last for upwards of 30 years. True, they are expensive, but considering how long they last and don't have to be taken out every day, I think they are worth it.

If the gaps left by the missing teeth are not noticeable and you can still chew your food, leave well alone.

Dentures are really used for cosmetic reasons. They can be a nuisance if you travel a lot -- where to park them at night, the danger of swallowing them if you decide to wear them when sleeping.

As to the cost, I can't help you out there. I'm not American but I believe they can cost a bomb in America!
