As Dr Albert says, it may only be the translucency of the enamel, and this would be quite normal.
Another possibility is that drinking lots of acidic drinks (sodas, fruit juices) has eroded away the inner surface of your teeth, and the tip of the tooth has become thiiner than normal. If so, the edges of your upper front teeth will start to chip slightly, you may experience sensitivity in a number of teeth, and your lower molars will start to develop cupping of the cusp tips.
You would have to ask a dentist to assess the degree of damage and possible treatment as required. It would mean an end to acidic drinks too... just plain ol' water.

Because they are the thinnest part of your front teeth and do not have the dentine found in the thicker parts.

THIS IS PERFECTLY NORMAL.
TEETH ARE MADE UP OF ENAMEL WHICH COVERS DENTIN.
IN THE EDGES OF THE FRONT TEETH THERE IS ALMOST NO DENTIN. THE LIGHT GOES THRU ALMOST UNAFFECTED. IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THESE EDGES ARE TRANSPARENT. THERE IS NOTHING BAD ABOUT THIS AT ALL.
