Call them and ask for one. That's really the easiest way.
A lot of the time, people simply think it's automatic but businesses, especially small businesses, often screw up and mail them late or simply didn't have your new address if you moved.
They HAVE to send you a W-2 (postmarked) by January 31st. It's the law. However, if you moved or it was lost in the mail and they can prove they mailed it (usually by photocopying or keeping a duplicate copy from the payroll dept.), that's perfectly reasonable. They just need to send you another copy at your request.
And also, if they mailed it on the last day of the month, which is pretty common, then the post office may still take a good 2-3 days to deliver it to you. In which case, it should show up tomorrow.
Call them on Monday if you don't see it in your mailbox.

1) Wait until Feb 14th and see if you get the W-2.
2) Contact the employer and ask them to send you a new one. Make sure they have your correct address.
3) If they refuse, make note of the time and date and whom you spoke with and report them to the IRS.

Is there anyway you can contact your previous employer and see if they are holding your w-2 from them? I know sometimes if you move and the mail does not forward it, the form is sent back to them and they hold on to it. Good luck!

Call them to see if they have mailed them out, if they have the correct current address, and if all else fails, have them reprint it for you.
Also, some CPA offices are JUST releasing the W-2's at the last possible date! (This was the circumstance with my office, and my employees received theirs Wednesday for the ones who were on sight)

contact your former employer's payroll dept. (or person in charge of payroll) and tell them that you have not received your W-2. they have copies of them, so they could either mail you a copy, or preferably tell them youll pick it up in person.

You might have to just go to your old boss and kick him/her, really hard where it would hurt the worst. this might get their attention and(you),quite possibly, a free ride to the pokey. or you could just ask politely if they have it on file.
