You DO NOT need a military ID to visit friendson any military base. However, you will need an ID, proof of insurance for your car, and registration to get on base. they will search your car for things you shouldnt have.

Just dont go where you shouldnt once you get there.

FT Sill is home of the Artillery

Yes, you will need a Military I.D. to get on post. If your friend can get out for a while, you can visit the Wildlife Game preserve near Lawton (very cool - longhorn cattle and buffalo wandering around). Also, visit the Meers steak house in Meers (also near Lawton). The place looks like an absolute dump, but has a world-wide reputation for steaks (longhorn, by the way).
I remember climbing on Mount Scott near the wildlife reserve...it was fun.

Ft. Sill... what a phuckin dive. Be prepared to be bored off your asss. It's dirty, quiet and homely. Good luck with that.
