Yes, that is the normal price with insurance. Its what I paid for my kid and she had 1 impacted as well. So, yeah its not great to pay that much. Be sure you get a good oral surgeon and make sure your child does not chew gum afterward for a while or could get TMJ.

well it depends on what type of insurance you have, you will have to pay the deductable first, so if your oral surgery bill is 2,000.00 dollars then you first subtract the 400 from it, so you are left with 1600.00 then depending on the amount that your insurance covers, lets use the example of 80% co insurance, and that also depends on if its a participating or non participating provider, as to what percentage the co insurance is, that would be stated in you in and out of network co insurance. . .. so if it covered at 80% then you would be responsible for the 20% from 1600.00 and the 400.00, uunless you have already satisfied the deductable this year, because you only have to meet it once a year. Talk to the oral surgeons business office manager, they are usually more than willing to work out a payment plan that will fit your budget.
