For last past two months my two year old has not had a very big appetite, wakes up at night crying, cries during the day, and just seems like she's in pain. The last past fews has been alot worse for her. I dont know what to do. She wont tell me if anything hurts or not. Me and my husband just feel we are at a lost. She is a very little girl weighing in at 21lbs, and about 30 inches tall. I thought maybe it could be her kidenys cause a few months ago her urine had a horriable smell to it. I just dont know.

My two year old ate well until she was around 14 months and started becoming constitpated. Children will not eat if their tummy is upset. She is on medicine to help her go but has continued to eat very little and gain very little. She weighs 20 lbs. She is seeing a gastrointestinal specialist, and is going in next week for an endoscopy (where they put the camera down the throat to see inside the intestines). When I first took her to the specialist they he ordered all sorts of blood tests, chest xrays etc.. I was told it could be her heart, diabetes and so on. I am not trying to scare you but it is crucial that you get you baby to a doctor. The specialist is ready to put my daughter on a feeding tube. You also might want to get some pediasure or if your pharmacy can order it for you I use nutrin 1.5 it is 375 calories per 8 0z. can. and it is simular to milk. I also add and ounce of heavy whipping cream to that because it is also high in calories.

Definitely get her in to see someone in either urgent care or ER this weekend. Kids don't act that way for no reason. There is most likely something physically going on. Or, has there been any life changing events in her life during those 2 months? Potty-training? Family moving? Pet die/new pet? Not talking to grandma as often? While you're searchign to find out if anything is physically wrong, go over in your mind things that have happened since she started behaving this way and list any things that may have been stressful to her. My sister was a very tiny little girl, too, 2 months preemie and she just didn't ever seem to quite catch up, and she got sick when she was about 2 and wouldnt' eat anything. She was so small, that the pediatrician actually said, let her eat anything she wants. Junk food or not, let her eat it, she needs it. Shakes, popsicles, cereal, my sister's only food she'd eat was white donuts. Take her to the grocery store and see if there's anything she wants to pick out.

Dear Friend, I am facing the same problem right now with my 1 1/2 yr daughter, but altough I think your baby must be having some stomach problem which probably you are not able to diagonise, did you take her to the doctor, if yes and the doc finds her fine dont worry, she will eat according to her own appetite, thats what my doc said for my baby. But if you haven,t seen the doc do take her immediately for mental peace that she is at least fine.

Well I would assume the baby is sick but as far as I can say is try massaging her by her bladder lightly and ask if it hurts when you put light pressure there...if so take the child to the doctor as soon as possible if not it would still be appropriate to take her to the doctor...just take her to the doctor with either outcome.

Take her to the doctor and get a physical you sometimes cant just wait and see. Her urine may smell funny because she is dehydrated and she needs help. Hope you get some help...

That is very unusual. Have you taken her to a doctor?
21 pounds for a 2 year old is very small.

Get that girl to a doctor! If she was happy and healthy before, this is telling you something. She needs some medical help.
