Help!! I'm seeing that designers typically take 3-4 months to ship bridesmaids' gowns, but can take even longer. I don't have longer than that. Does anyone have any recommendations for designers that ship in 3 months or less? I don't have any bridal shops around, and will probably have to order online. Gulp. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks, ladies. Nope, I'm not rushing to get married. I've actually been engaged for a year already. I just hate all the wedding planning, and didn't realize that it takes so long for bridesmaid dresses. Sigh. Thankfully I haven't been quite as clueless on the other plans thus far. I Hope! I've seen house of brides, but am still wondering about individual designer wait time. Thanks for the links for ebay. I may try that or a davids away after all.

At first I used Alfred Angelo, they take 2-3 months to deliver, but for a rush you can have it in a few weeks. (www.alfredangelo.com)
Now I am using Davids Bridal and some of my BM bought off the rack in store and some ordered (up to 4 weeks) for delivery!

Don't order from a bridal store of any kind. There isn't time. You're going to have to buy off the rack.
Go to an upscale department store with a Formals section (Lord and Taylor, Nordstrom's, Macy's etc.) and buy the bridesmaid dresses there, off the rack, then take them to a seamstress for alterations (if any).
It doesn't have to come from a bridal store to BE a bridesmaid dress!
Also see if the informal wedding stuff they sell at jcrew.com might work for you.

Some bridal shops will do rush orders. It costs extra for each dress. From about $30 up to $100 (from what I have seen). My best advice to you find a design from a company such a J Crew. It will be nearly impossible for most company to ensure the delivery on time. You should go to a department store such as Macy's to find a gown that all the girls can find in their size. At this time you don't have much hope so you need to really get moving on finding them. Oh and TRAVEL to a bridal shop it is worth it!
I really hope you are not rushing to get married...such a waste of a good day! My best advice to you is postpone it or get married at the courthouse. You obviously are not prepared for the wedding to be so soon! Good luck and hopefully you don't rush to much and ruin your day!

All we have to do is get a few adjustments. they even have another website where you can purchase from. Here is the link to ebay i bought the dresses from there.http://stores.ebay.com/FASHIONWEDDING And when we ordered the maid of honors dress from mori lee it took about 3 1/2 months that was a long time. Good Luck

Call around to some local bridal stores and see what their wait time is for various dress types. I just ordered my bridesmaid dress today for my sister's wedding that is May 17th! It can be done.

Chadwicks.com has some pretty dresses that are much nicer (and re-wearable) than some at bridal boutiques. They are also much more affordable and you can definitely get them in 3 months.

my sister got all of her bridesmaids dresses at Victoria Secret (they really have beautiful clothes there) and we had to alter one about a week before the wedding and they sent a brand new on instead of altering it. they were sequined tube tops with a line skirts. they were absolutely beautiful.

Select dresses that are very nice looking, are commonly available, can be used again for other ocassions, and select them.
