I could see being involved with a church if the church took a stand, but if the church doesn't preach consequences for Sin, what is the point?

Fellowship with who?

Those who won't take a stand against sin?

The New Testament says, "do not stop from the gathering of yourselves together," think of them (each meeting) as a grip on a steering wheel, if you let go, you can die. The more fingers on the wheel, the safer you are. So, everytime you miss a meeting your grip is a little less sure, until if you never go, you have no hands on the wheel! Now the car can go in any direction it wants since no one has any grip on the wheel! In other words, the more meetings you make, the safer your grip is on your spiritual life.

The jobs main point is 1) preaching Christ Jesus as the son of god and through which no one can be saved. 2) that Jehovah God is the father of Christ Jesus and without who, no one has a chance of repentance. 3) That sin can be forgive through Christ Jesus sacrifice and that sin is on every imperfect man and woman on the planet.

Good Question. I can already see a lot of Christians being defensive on behalf of their church. I'm a Christian,
the reason why I don't go to church is because they don't preach the real truth, because if they do, the donations will decrease immensely as people just don't like to hear bad things. They don't like to hear that if they cannot follow the commandments of God, they shall go to Hell - every sin, small or big is still a sin & God already made it clear He does not want blemish fruits. Only saints go to Heaven not sinners. Yet all we hear in the church is God loves you, you will prosper if you become a Christian, etc.
I am better off with a small community of us who truly believes in the True Gospel of the Lord and not some watered down/filtered out version dished out by these false prophets who are only interested in the material gains of -power/respect/money of this world.

No, if you sin you will not go to heaven, at least in the Bible's words. But, you can repent, which is the ultimate saver. Church strengthens your relationship with God and helps you understand things about Him and His word better.

Fellowship with other believers is a great thing, but beware! Use your God-given gift of discernment. The devil is as at home in a church pew as as he is anywhere else.

church is about believers coming together to worship our God.

when u have a job its neccessary to have daily, weekly,or monthly meetings right. everyone that works with u in your organization comes together to communicate information. attending the meetings doesn't eliminate the problems but we still have them.

so why not come together to worship and hear about our creator.

another reason to attend church is that their is strength in numbers.

I just had to comment about that "only saints go to heaven" thats so not true. the saints have sinned too. Jesus died on the cross so that our sins will be forgiven if we want to be forgiven.

Church is about fellowship with other believers and to study the Bible... it has nothing to do with going to heaven

Don't go to church. And by the way, Heaven is a myth. Christianity is a social construct designed for people who don't trust their own goodness and spontaneity. Live your life like you want to.

No child wants to be taught consequences but in order to be good parents, we are supposed to teach them about such as well as show them lots of love. Our Father God is a good parent, the absolute greatest and He wants us to show others that love. Ergo, the gathering together to worship Him and showing love to others. Following Jesus example is the way. Teaching in church about sin is becoming unpopular with people, not Father God.

No one will escape the ultimate consequences of their sins, even if they're forgiven by God.

God is a hierarchical being.

There will be lowly jobs in heaven, reserved for repeat sinners ... and they'll be very happy to have them!.
