why does everybody keep asking why emo people cut themselves?? not every emo person does it. my best friend is emo and she never has cut herself and i don't think she has ever wanted 2. am i the only 1 that i getting tired of people asking stupid questions about emo people or are there actually somebody out there that agrees with me about this?????

i can see the frustration! I know cutters,and I know emo's too and I agree. Not all emo's cut,and not all emo's hurt themselves,and not all cutters are emo's. Hope that helps!!!

Just one question. What is a emo. I am 58 and this is a first on me. If you are talking about emotional people, I have been there and done that. I have had several break downs. Have been hospitalized. I never wanted to see my own blood or anyone elses. Sounds like someone needs to go see a mental doctor to me. Hey, I've done that too.

My issue is also with the use of the word "emo", "emo" refers to a group of ppl who listened to a specific band, i dont remember the name of the band, but the term was coined as a derrogatory term, and it has nothing to do with people who dress in black, or who are emotional!

I agree with you.
From what I understand, as a grandmother, emo people are the ones that dress in black.
I say, so what. Doesn't mean their is anything wrong with them. Just trying to find out who they really are. No different than we were when we dressed like hippies in the 60's.
