Are these religion or folklore?

A school of fish
A murder of crows
An Unkindness of ravens
A flock of seagulls.
Where does this come from. I suspect pagan, but am not sure. Any thoughts?

Why Pagan? I think they're just social aphorisms.

Mostly folklore but not Pagan.
