It wasn't that bad until I lost my car keys and my house keys, I was walking home from the bus stop when I reached for my keys and they were gone. I usually keep them clipped onto my purse but they weren't there. They don't usually have a problem with staying on, so I doubt if they just fell off on their own. So, I called my mom because I did have my cellphone and my purse, just no keys. I called her and told her what had happened and she suggested to have my brother pick up my spare keys that she had with her at work on his way home from college so he could drop them off to me at home so I wouldn't be late to work. That didn't work, Plan B. My mom had to leave work early and bring me my keys, luckily I was able to get into the house with our hidden spare key. So, I'm waiting for my mom meanwhile I'm calling the school bus garage and looking for my bus driver and my keys. The lady at the garage was giving me a hard time so she took my number down and said when she finds my bus driver, she will have her call me back. So, when my mom comes home I'm rushing around the house trying to get dressed for work, and I told my mom; Look, I gotta go. If you hear anything or something comes up, just give me a call. So she says okay and I run out the door. Now Im thinking I went over my time limit and I'm behind schedule because I wasted my hour in between school and work on the phone with the bus garage and I missed my lunch and Im all nervous and out of wack, So I'm speeding out of my development onto the main route to work and a cop passes with his sirons on the opposite side of the road so I pull off, then my phone rings and it's my mom. I accidently hung up on her and my phone slams shut, by then I have a voicemail so I'm all worried about my keys, I try checking my voicemail and typing in my password and then I look up in my rearview mirrors and a cop is chasing me down. I pull off to the side of the road, and I have only been driving for 3 months, So Im nervous, shaking, scared, and my hearts about ready to beat out of my chest; and I'm worried that I'm gonna have to pay a fine and my parents are gonna beat me and etc. I also thought well maybe he'll give me a warning and be nice, nope. not me. Instead he hands me over a speeding ticket for $105 for doing 65 mph. in a 50 mph zone. I guess I just had a need for speed. But honestly, I didn't even realize I was speeding. I just was nervous and had a lot going on at once, too much for that matter. Oh, and they still haven't found my keys. What can I do??

Take a moment and look at it from your moms angle. she went to work today and after a busier day her daughter calls freaking out cauz she lost her keys. So mom comes up with a solution and it doesn't work out so she asks her boss to go home early so she can help you out and calm you down. Finally she gets you off to work and you call cauz you got a ticket and now your really upset. A day in the life of a parent whew just another day.Not to be insenstive but your mom could use a hug too.

Holy crap, girl get a hold on yourself! First of all the keys can be replaced. Big deal. You endangered multiple people with your silly attempt to check your voicemail while driving. What if you had run over Boy scout troop 111? Then you would be writing on here about the fact that you lost your keys and blood was on your windshield and you were worried that the blood would not come off in the carwash, and that you think you forgot to pick up a box of Capt'n Crunch and now you don't know what to eat for breakfast...
The cop should have tazered you and then smashed your cell phone to protect the US populace from your silly brainless way of life. Pay the ticket and turn your brain on.

What can you do about WHAT?

The speeding ticket? Pay it...you were speeding, you got a ticket. That's what happens.

Losing your keys? If you only lost your keys (not your purse or anything with I.D.) who ever finds them won't have any way of knowing whose keys they are, so your home isn't in danger of being broken into because of that.

These things happen...It's part of life.

First off take a deep breath. Then let it out. Don't feel alone about crazy days like this. They happen to everyone even the best of people. And, true, yours may seem crazier tahn most I've heard of I'm sure other people have had just as bad. Now that you've had time to think about everything just realize that tomorrow will be better. You will have a better handle on the situation because you can think now. So, another deep breath, think about how you'll handle tomorrow, and don't worry too much.

Have a nice cry. Go to bed, get up and start ALL OVER. It's NOT the end of the world. You live in the GREATEST COUNTRY in the world, you have a roof over your head, a school with friends, a family who obviously loves you, a job to put extra money in your pocket, and your health.
Get your spare keys and go to a lock smith shop and have a another set made.

Consider this a lesson learned. Pay the fine, you were speeding. Change the locks and you'll have new keys. Also, if someone has your keys, they will not be able to enter your house. This will only be bad if you didn't learn something from it.

First of all, you need to relax, close your eyes and breathe deeply. Then ask yourself if what happened today will mean anything at all to you five years from now. Since it won't, you don't need to worry about your day from Hell. Whenever I have "one of those days", I put the day into perspective as to how it will affect the greater scheme of things way into the future. You're young and you've got more mistakes heading your way so don't sweat the small stuff. Here's a hint: It's ALL small stuff.

Report the loss of your keys to the Police authorities so that they will have a record to look into in case something happens.
