Ok so I'm 14 & I think I have like mild Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, & I'm not just saying that because everyone seems to think they do because they want their room organized or something. I'll explain my symptoms & maybe an expert or someone who also has OCD can let me kno if this is what my problem is...
Ok so I worry about the most random things ..& mainly the worries are about my own mental health .. its weird. Like if I see something on the news about a child molester I freak out on what causes people to do that & how horrible it would be to want to do something like that [ew]! There's many other things I worry about - thats just an example.
The weirdest thing though is sometimes I actually fear finding something to get scared about. Like if I'm having a rare "good day" [not worried about anything] I do strange, random, & absolutely irrelovent things & it seems to help me block out thoughts. Like whenever I get popups online I minimize them three times before Xing em out.

Somehow doing stupid pointless & annoying stuff like that makes me feel better. I make up the tasks on the spot too [like I'll just be in my yard & think "go inside & come back out"]. Then I have to do the previously unplanned task I thought of. This has caused me alot of inconvience [erasing answers & rewriting them on tests, ect] & it happens multiple times a day. I can't just stop though, because when I forbid myself to do the rituals I subconciously let myself start worrying again.. Ahhh!
The most annoying problem is occaisionally I feel the need to say something .. just like a random statement about something I did yesterday .. & then I end up having to say it! My friends think its funny & juss a quirk of mine, but I hate it! I've had this all my life.
Another thing is sometimes I play mind games with myself. Like if I'm shooting bball I think "ok however many baskets you miss out of the next ten is the percentage you are ___." [whatever I'm currently scared of] Is this OCD?

Some of the stuff you mentioned (like having to minimize windows 3 times before closing them) sounds like OCD. But overall, it sounds more like you have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. (I know that sounds generic, but it really is a disorder. Google it and see if you think it fits you).
Fortunately, there are many ways to treat both OCD and GAD. Including but not limited to medication, meditation, cognitive-behavioral therapy, support groups, etc.
Good luck! :)

You might have it, but its doubtful. OCD is usually just a few of the same actions that you get nutty over, classic examples being washing your hands over and over until they get raw-but being unable to stop without mental distress. The things you do that you worry about, do you do them regularly? If it's just a bunch of random stuff don't worry about it. Worry might be your main problem, stress too. Don't get diagnosed with OCD tho unless you're in real need of medical help(which it really doesn't sound like you are), as soon as you get diagnosed with something like that it looks like a mental health problem. If you're 14 then don't mess up future job opportunities for the rest of your life by having "Mental Illness" get listed on your medical record.
People will often try to label you when it's completely unnecessary, don't let people tell you all this crap about what "illness" you have. You're fine. Relax a little, spend more time around friends and family versus TV, and exercise regularly. Regular exercise has been proven to improve emotional/mental conditions. Having a crummy day? Try a quick run to get things out. In the mean time, I'll be praying for you, which may do more good than anything else.

You could have OCD, but then you may not, a few things you said sounds like it, but you see OCD everyone has it somewhat, it is not OCD until it has effected your life so much that you can hardly do anything. By the way OCD is also passed down through genes. So i would say the best way for you to know for sure, and no it is not to take an online test, that is a bunch of bull, it is to make an appointment with a therapist, and let them check, it out, then pray that you do not have OCD, cause there is no cure for it, except as one doctor told me once, at the age of 55 you can get burned out on it, otherswise if that don't happen when you finally reach 55 then you are going to have to deal with it for the rest of you life that you have left, and it is not a thing i would wish on anyone.

I don't really think you have ocd. To diagnose OCD you must know the symptoms, which are recognizable as an extreme obsession with any various thing from cleanliness to ducks. Actually i think you have a fear of fear. A fear of fear is a leading cause of panic attacks which have clearly expressable symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, shortenss of breath, and in acute cases, painting. This would explain your fear of becoming a fearful person. However, this is a serious condition that can not be diagnosed via internet but only with a visit to a personal psychiatrist. So please do not take any advice but ask your psychiatrist about panic attacks and anxiety and he will prescribe something or give you therapy. Good luck

you might have mild ocd, but most people do...it really sounds more like you have an anxiety disorder, which causes the constant worrying. anxiety can also cause ocd because your mind is always thinking and worrying, you develop ways of trying to prevent the anxious thoughts, by doing compulsive things.
you should see a doctor who will be able to tell if medication would help.

OCD is something you can stop whenever you want to, and the longer you let it go the worse it will become. Make the decision NOT to be part of OCD and you will overcome it. You have the power to not X out popus three times. Dont just accept that "this is what I do." You are only doing it because you are allowing it. Stop allowing yourself to do things that you clearly see is the beginning of OCD behaviour. It's your choice. Do you want to be a slave to it?

No, I don't think you have OCD, your symptoms are too much like someone who is a little paranoid/superstitious. OCD is the extreme of these things.
Added on 2/3: Ok, now since you have added all these other symptoms I think you do have some OCD.

I'm not sure but I think you should see your doctor and talk about it with them. HOPE THIS HELPS! (or you could just might be fixing to start your period because you get really nervous before it happens, and because it's most common around the age of 14 )

It would be impossible to receive a proper diagnosis via a message board. You should consult a mental health professional if you are concerned. The first step would be communication with your parents. Good luck to you.
