its kinda hard to explain. im sorta of a intermediate skater, and i learned just fine without having the expirence of roller blading. first, put on your skates as tight as possible (get rental), and tie them REALLY tight (make sure you have high socks so the skates dont hurt your foot. before going on the ice, you should practice walking around on carpet or something, anything but concrete cuz it will ruin the blade. if u r comfertable walking around, then ur ready, cuz u HAVE to b comfertable with walking around. my frnds say skating is sorta like walking. now, onto the ice. first, hang onto the wall because when you first start, you should do this for safety. slowly start with one leg and move it forward, then the other, keep doing this until you could go pretty fast with this. gradually let one hand off the wall and do this again. one foot, then the other. soon, ull b off the wall! if u r addicted to the wall, have a friend closest to the wall and another friend on the other side. ur friends will drag u so u could b away from the side. u dont c professionals on the wall right? NO!
TIPS:
-ALWAYS KEEP YOUR SKATES STRAIGHT AND NOT SLANTED, IT WILL EVENTUALLY HURT YOUR FOOT
-WEAR A HELMET ON THE FIRST COUPLE OF DAYS
-WEAR GLOVES (optional)
-BRING SOME TRUSTWORTHY FRIENDS THAT COULD SKATE
Other:
dont be afraid of letting go of the wall, falling absolutely doesnt hurt, if u do fall, have some friends bring u back up. make sure u keep balanced.

i cant think of anymore.
have fun! i hoped i helped

1. Put on your ice skates
2. Tie them really tight, especially around the ankles
3. Get on the ice
4. At first, grab onto the boards and kind of walk on your skates
5. Then, try letting go of the boards and skating
6. Then, try pushing your feet out alternating right and left

Have fun! And don't worry, it will probably be a lot of other peoples' first time to!

Well, first find a rink and get skates. Just go to the rink and try to balance your feet out on the ice. keep on trying, and soon you'll be skating!

At first, you should try to hold on to the edge of the rink in case you're about to fall. It's really fun once you get the hang of it!
With more practice, you'll be able to skate very well pretty well.

Just go to the rink at least once a week to get better at skating.

Good luck!
:)

well, i've been iceskating for a bout 1 year and a half. i've passed so many levels. well first, get ur skates on and make sure they're not too tight. just make it really tight (but no too much) around the ankles. then walk on them, if ur feet like collapse (fall on the inside edge) then they're too big. then when u get on the ice...u might wanna hold the walls but then bend ur knees and push ur feet to form on oval. make ur toes and heels "kiss" everytime. this always works. and here's a type for ya...don't try to spin or lift ur leg like a spiral just keep trying to skate. when i skate and ppl do that, i drives me nuts. then when u get the hang of it, u might wanna try goin backwards, u just do the same oval thing (they're called swizzles) but backwards and ur feet still "kiss." g2g eat but that should work...good luck!!

the first key to learning is probably that you tie your skates tight enough...that's the mistake all people make...you also want to bend your knees, with your shoulders just over your toes. if you don't have a good stance your back WILL hurt. push out and then back with your feet (same concept with roller blades). you also might want to wear knee pads. and to stop make a triangular shape with your skates on the ice and keep your knees bent

roller skating. I used to love it! We used to have a "dance in common words" evening, pronounced through guys in common words % skating (what a racket they used to make!). continually wanted to flow ice skating, even though it develop into very intense priced even as i develop into youthful, so I under no circumstances did. My youngest son develop into sturdy at it even as he develop into youthful, although.

its sorta like you are walking but with blades on your feet. first i would put you skates on and then walk around and get used to them. then i would slowly walk on the ice and don't tip forward.just glide. its sorta hard to explain. take some lessons
