Please help us - my preacher is in his mid 30's. He was perfectly well until just recently. He can't do anything without getting fatigued - just preached a message wears him out. He also has pain all over. He has been to his family doctor and to a tropical disease doctor (he went to the Phillipines over the summer) and all of his blood work and scans have came back normal. He feels so helpless. He is going to preach on Sunday but is going to sit down in front of the congregation to preach. I suggested a homeopathic doctor, one to work with herbs, etc. I also know a lot about fibromyalgia and that may be his problem. He is only 39 and has been in great shape. Any answers? He is a precious jewel to us. Please help.

Denise, I'm so sorry that your preacher is suffering so much. He sounds like a great person.

Do you know if he has been tested for Lyme Disease, and if so, what test they used?

I was diagnosed with Lyme over a year ago, after having suffered dibiliating fatigue, muscle and joint pain. Later I developed memory loss and mental confusion. I am 26. Last August, I was put on IV Rocephin as a last resort, and it seems to have done little to help. By the time it got diagnosed, it was already late stage.

the ELISA test is extrememly inaccurate. Unfortunately, it is the one the government likes. I was tested with the Western Blot and the RIBb test. High dose, long term antibiotics are recommended for late term lyme, although permanent damage may be untreatable. Unfortunately, the Lyme triggered off a rare Auto Immune Disease where my blood clots within its own vessels.

Please consider asking him to have these tests done, and feel free to email me to let me know the outcome.

Has he been to a rheumatologist? They are specialists with autoimmune diseases, and may be able to help him.

Please know too, that I will be keeping him in prayer.

God Bless,
Chris

Try having him eat lots of fresh salmon & white albacore tuna, WHOLE grains, nuts, and high-fiber vegetables. Also drink a large glass of purified water at least every 2 hours during day.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, refined sugars, junk & processed foods.

Excercise, get proper sleep & avoid stress.

Supplements that should help are B-complex (50 mg 2 x day), magnesium (250 mg x 2-3 x day), B12 (300 mcg day), CoQ10 (100 mg 2-3 x day), NADH (10 mg each morning), l-carnitine )500 mg 3 x day), Panax ginsing (100 mg 2-3 x day), Ginkgo biloba (60 to 120 mg twice day), 5-HTP (100 mg 2-3 x day), flaxseed oil (1-2 tbsp. day), olive leaf (500 mg 3 x day), oregano oil (500 mg 4 x day), Malic acid (500 mg 2-3 x day), also phosphoric acid & silica (take as directed on bottle).

Hope this helps.

Good luck & God Bless : )

herbs don't cure and could be dangerous given you do not know what is causing the issue. i bet his liver panel showed no increase in alt and ast....this is not a reliable test concerning the liver-especially if it is hepatitis c that is causing the fibro-like pain.

fatigue and joint/bone pain could be caused by liver disease. have him test for antibodies for HCV infection.

firbromyalgia is a symptom of something, doctors just dont know what to look for. this syndrome is also seen in many with hcv. (i had fibro since the age of 12! it's been estimated that my hcv infection began as late as the age of 8, but i could of had it much younger as well as i had three surgeries prior to age 5.)

everyone has at least one risk factor for acquiring hcv, suggest he be tested and do not rely on alt and ast levels alone-i cannot stress this enough. many doctors look at a liver panel and see no elevations in alt and ast, leading the doctor to think everything is fine. those with hcv go undiagnosed because of this issue alone, yet their symptoms remain.

there are MANY ways to contract hcv, not just the ways stated if you were to look it up.

good luck.
