Try Auto CAD 2005 or 2006. It works in XP well. Very cheap in clementi

Run Older Programs on Windows XP in Windows XP Compatibility Mode. It has been confirmed that it does work with AutoCAD 2000.

that's strange. I have AuroCad 98 on my windows XP box. Hmmmmm

Before you run the SETUP program, right click the SETUP.EXE and select PROPERTIES. Select the COMPATIBILITY tab and choose to RUN THIS IN Win 98 mode.
