I have incredibly itchy legs. I've tried lotions and exfoliating, and shaving frequently, and shaving not as frequently, and nothing has worked.

Any suggestions or similar experiences?

In response to the scratching answer - I do.... frequently and sometimes in my sleep. But it only gives me cuts and makes it itchier.

I've tried Aveeno lotions, the Free & Clear detergents, not shaving, lotion several times a day, putting ice wrapped in a towel on my legs (I read that works for excema). I also tried soap without dyes or artificial ingredients. It itches more at night, but really all the time. I am pretty active, and don't have circulation problems of any kind. There's no rash, just gets red when I itch. Summer, spring, winter, fall - it's a year round thing, thats been going on for at least the last 2 years, probably a little longer than that.

Sorry - also tried gold bond lotion (the original kind - I don't know, maybe different types of gold bond might work) and aloe, straight from the plant. It itches all over my legs, and varies from day to day.

I bought acid mantle cream from target. It works great but is a little expensive and you have to ask the pharmacist for this becuz they keep it behind the counter. You do not need perscription

Could be the weather, if it's extremely worse this time of year. A GOOD lotion makes a big difference. Try a thick cream, like from a tube or a jar, because lotions are water-based and dry out skin more easily.

You have to be more specific. Is there a time when its more itchy than others? Is there a specific spot? Does it worsen when you scratch? I had that problem and turns out mine was related to nerve damage in my back believe it or not. You could have an allergy. Even mine stopped itching with Neutrogena's Anti-Itch Lotion...works wonders.

There is more info needed for an answer: Do you have a rash? How long has this been going on? When it started had you changed your laundry detergent, fabric sofenter, soap, shaving cream? Try using hydrocortisone cream (as long as you don't have an allergy to topical steroids)

You need to take some anti histamine. You can get one a day non drowsy ones from Tesco.Use the Tesco's own brand ones they are about a third of the price of the branded ones and they contain exactly the same ingredients. edit: this will work I guarantee it.If you put a lot of creams on it will only make it worse.

Did you try Alovara " and yes I might spelled it wrong" lotion? Suave might still make some with it in lotion yet. Check your local store.
