First of all... you joining has nothing to do with your recruiter. Don't ask him about himself, ask him the things you need to know for you. If you want some real advice, ask around and find some Marines. Or ask your recruiter to set up a meeting with one of his recruits who just got back from boot camp. There should be a recruiter's assistant there at the recruiting office. Ask to talk to one.

Is there any guarantees about the different jobs. Or different stations. Does the government have to let me go to school while I am in the Marines or can they move me around.

You don't need to ask him any questions. The Corp will tell you what you need to know when you get to boot camp.
