WOW - i get that too !!
Sometimes if i have time for an afternoon nap - i ALWAYS wake up with a bad headache ....or if i have a really good night sleep - i wake up with one too ......i feel that if i 've had ALOT of heavy intense dreams then i wake up with one !
Our mind is still going and running when we are sleeping ! So something can definetely stress us out while resting !
Try taking some advil before u rest ...i do sometimes and i wake up feeling great !!
If this keeps up - see ur doc ....u can get prescription meds for chronic headaches ! Hope this helps and good luck to you !

Dehydration is a popular one. If you're not getting enough water during the day, eight hours (or more) without a drink can really dry you out, particularly if you are losing water in other ways while you sleep (sweat, for example, though that's probably unlikely at this time of year).

I get that a lot, and mine is from Sleep Apnea. Do you snore loudly? Has anyone ever said to you that you snore and/or stop breathing when you sleep? One option.
Another is it could be the way your head and neck are positioned on the pillow. Make sure your head isn't too far up and there's no strain on your neck. Tuck your pillow to keep your head and neck as straight as possible.
Good luck, hon!

Do you eat a good amount of sugar? Sugar can induce fluctuating levels of insulin and can give you a headache which is more likely after waking up. take it easy with sugar and increase water intake; you'll never have it again.
