Is the class boring? Do you have a test coming up? Do you need help? Do you need a study buddy? Ask her if she's as bored as you are. Ask if she's prepared for the test. Try and come up with something that's not going to intimidate you or her. Good Luck!!!!

Its very simple. Start the conversation off with something related to the class that you two are in. Find out her views on the subject. Once the conversation starts flowing then you can go in a little deeper with finding out the type of person she is. But take your time man. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES do you try to holla at her right away. Because if you do and end up getting shot down, then that'll just make even more uncomfortable whenever you see her in class. I'm assuming you see her on a regular basis in class. Make a point to say something to her at least a hi or something after you've already talked to her. Once you've spoken to her a few times...you can then move on in if she's giving you the signal.

The best way is probably to ask her a question about the class, even if you know the answer. Then as you're talking about the class you can be like, "by the way I'm ____. What's your name?" After that you can keep sitting by her and maybe get a study date planned or something.

Ask her a question after class about something in the class. First introduce yourself and then start the conversation.

Ask if you can borrow her notes, or some other class-related opener. If plausible tell her you're looking into starting a study group, and is she interested? That could net you a phone number or e-mail.
good luck

Have a couple casual conversations about the lecture topic or assignmement. After a couple sessions, if she lingers or seems interested, ask her to join you for coffee in the cafeteria, or meet at a coffee shop.

Easy! Get a C on a paper or something...or better yet, make a FAKE homework assignment and grade it yourself!
Give yourself a big fat "F" with a circle around it, for effect...and write a "teacher note"....
The note should read:
"Please seek a tutor for this subject....Ms. Insert Name Here"
Send me an invite to the wedding...

What worked best with me was when the guy added me on facebook or myspace and then messaged or commented me about the class.. from then on he talked to me in class such as hey what did you get on that paper? or whatever and then led to other convo topics. It's not that hard!

Just introduce yourself and start up a conversation and if she never talks to you again you won't look dumb and you'll have your answer.
