I'd like to think I made a difference in the world. Even though I don't believe you're saved by works alone, believing and honoring God makes you want to make the world a better place. Then even if I was just "worm food" after it was all over, at least my life was worth something. I'm just glad that there's so much more than that. :)

You can't ever really be sure and that's why people must believe in something. Energy is never lost its only changed into another form.
You know what? You're here now so just make the best of it and stop trying to rationalize. It doesn't help because no one has proof of what's going to happen.

Everything you do touches someone. Your life, although belongs to you, is not just "about you". Your existance is what you make of it. You can either feel it has no point, or you can make your mark. Think about this: has someone in your life done or said something to you that made you feel good about yourself? Given you hope about yourself? Have you tried to pass on your knowledge to someone?
If you're just sitting there waiting for life to happen, let me clue you in on something. IT IS HAPPENING! You just happen to be sitting on the sidelines while it passes you by. Get up and make a difference.

Been there.

I suppose you think your situation and life is unique.
Yea right, I need to walk in shoes for awhile.
Many have thought those same feelings.
There is nothing new under the sun.
><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><>
Think about this planet earth and all things that offend are removed.
THEN READ THIS
I Cor.2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><>
MAN, that still blows my mind.
You know, eyes have seen the garden of Eden.

I hear your struggle brother! I fight the same fight everyday....
My thought is this:
We are on this planet for a purpose...our purpose, gods purpose, who ever you want to give credit to...it doesn't matter to me.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is this: making money, having sex, and HELPING people.
In the end, if I have an abundance of all three...that was the true meaning of life....MY life anyway....
It's all about satisfying your own psyche....not bowing to some god to get into some club that doesn't exist....and if it does, we get a free pass anyway....the bible says he forgives all of us...we can ask after we're dead!
rock on brother!
Crack a beer for me tonight!

I don't think any one religion is true, but I think we would be naive to believe we are all that's out there.
But if we were just to be worm food, what you are doing in your life affects the people you leave behind.

Probably because your afterlife is at stake in either going to Heaven or hell. One is bad, the other is good. Therefore everything in this life is VERY important, especially your faith in God!

For me personally, I believe only God makes life important. I live in order to glorify him. Otherwise, life seems pointless to me. I'm sure other people think there are other reasons to exist.

For the religious it gets them a better place in heaven for interfering in our lives, for the non religious this life is the big prize and we don't want anyone forcing us to live by their religious texts.
