i have a credit card for about over a year and when i first got a this credit i was ignorant about it..let alone i could not get apporved for a CC for variou reasons/ when i got thsi card and was acceoted i was happy enough to keep it. over a yr later i learned more about CC and apr and fees and basicly this specific card has a very small limit and i get charged nearly 20.00 extra per month. i want to cancel it and pay off the fees. do others pay this much extra a month? cancelation a good idea? and would it be better to dump the charges on a better card? thanks

well first of all remember that every time u apply for a credit card, it messes with your credit score a little bit. but a lot of credit cards have a 0 balance transfer so when you get a new card and want to transfer the balance it will cost you nothing. also when looking for a card with better rates look and see if it is a fixed rate or a variable rate. you always want a card that is fixed because you are guaranteed for those rates not to go up. on a variable rate they can go up at any time. but paying your bill on time will also help you out with your interest rate, because it can be raised if you miss your payments.
I hope this helps

The ideal CC is one that does not have an annual fee and had a low percentage charge on the credit advanced (14% - 19%).
If your card does not meet this criteria, look for a better deal.

There is no need to stand behind the cash register throughout the day to enjoy the benefits of a merchant account’s capacity to offer credit card processing. Take a wireless unit when you are visiting your clients to enable them to pay at the point of purchase instead of waiting for the bill. You can go for a pager to allow you to give immediate deliveries or quick replies to customer inquiries, few of which could result in direct or indirect sales with the choice of credit card payments. You can also design an online Website to allow billions of customers worldwide, to pay online for your goods/services. Also there is no need to hire additional staff to handle credit card processing. Some credit card processing systems can be operated automatically, when you go for the telephone payment system or the Website. But there should be an employee present at specific period for handling questions or troubleshooting issues.

i'm perplexed because the way you've a $10,000.00 stability on a card you have not in any respect used. there is no way a threat that you've amassed that many costs in 2 years. On proper of that, after 100 and eighty days (6 months) of non-fee, the account will be devoid of delay closed and "charged-off" from accounting books. that does no longer recommend the steadiness isn't owed, merely an accounting time period for tax applications. in case you paintings an annual value for a mastercard levels $39-ninety 9, and month-to-month late costs are about $35, the position are you able to in all likelihood get $10,000 stability? something about this tale isn't including up.

have you been making the payments on your card (i.e. do you have good credit)? if your credit is good, then you should get much better terms on your card. the fact that they are charging you $20/month on a card with a $200 limit is appalling. call a coupla credit card companies like capitalone, discovercard, etc., to see if they might offer you better terms
