What if on my pay stub it says federal:1 and I made less than 4,000 dollars. Will I have to owe money if so about how much.Even if I am a minor.

You need to talk to your employer and they need to correct it so that you file correctly.

If your parents can claim you, then yes, you might owe.

Not a problem. If the $4000 was all W-2 income, you'll get back all your withholding. Federal:1 might mean that they took out some tax - if they did, file a return to get it refunded.

No you will definitely get it all back as long as your total income does not exceed 5100 you are fine.

Just see a specialist and they can answer this for you so you and your family are not penalized for not claiming the monies earned....
